Greater Self Compassion
in 9 Weeks
Most of us feel compassion when a close friend or loved one is struggling...
What would it be like to receive that same kindness and compassion
when you need it most?
Mindful Self Compassion (MSC) is an empirically supported course, developed by Christopher Germer, PhD, a leader in the integration of mindfulness and psychotherapy and Kristin Neff, PhD, a pioneering researcher in the field of self-compassion and is designed to help you do just that.

Mindful Self Compassion (MSC) Course
Tricia Stern, LCSW, MPH & Teresa Keller

Research shows that self-compassion is strongly associated with:
emotional wellbeing and resiliency,
better ability to cope with life's challenges,
lower levels of anxiety and depression,
healthy habits such as diet and exercise, &
more satisfying relationships
It is an inner strength that enables us to be more fully human—to acknowledge our shortcomings, learn from them, and make necessary changes with an attitude of kindness and self-respect.
Proven Results Based on Clinical Studies:
People who took this course showed gains in self-compassion, mindfulness, and various wellbeing outcomes. A randomized controlled study also found that the gains in self-compassion, mindfulness, and wellbeing were not fleeting, but were maintained at 6-month and 1-year follow-ups. You can read the results of the studies, as published in the Journal of Psychology, at the links below.

Welcome!
I’m Tricia Stern, LCSW, MPH and I am a Trained Teacher in Mindful Self Compassion and a psychotherapist with experience working with adults, teens, children, parents, couples and families. I am so excited to be teaching this Mindful Self Compassion (MSC) course!
I have found MSC to be incredibly beneficial in dealing with stress and difficult experiences both personally and in integrating it into psychotherapy with clients. My training has been grounded in attachment theory and how we learn to connect and feel safe, and I have seen the power of MSC in cultivating an inner sense of security and wellbeing. I look forward to sharing this gift of MSC with you!

Hi!
I'm Teresa Keller. I'm delighted to assist in this training, because I've seen what a difference greater self-compassion makes in people's lives. I'm a Mindfulness Teacher and Integral Life Coach and I like to combine practices informed by neuroscience with insight from the wisdom traditions in my work. Self Compassion is very highly valued by both. I'm looking forward to doing what I can to make your journey an enriching and joyful one.
